Much progress has been made on the building of the USS Riker’s Beard sets that will be displayed at a hotel in London throughout the run of Destination Star Trek in London this coming weekend. (Original post here)
Most of the work has been in designing and making the console display housing, an entire bank of back lit monitors to be displayed in a custom built wall display that will look like the bridge of the Enterprise.
Below are images of the build so far.
Frames being built that will become the end walls and monitor separators of the bridge, taking inspiration from the Defiant.
Once the panels and frames have been put together, painted and graphics included, the design becomes clear.
To complete the look, wall panels will be added to the top of the set.
We also have a transporter room set too, which has been modelled on the one seen on the USS Voyager.
And here are a few images of the Isolinear Chip display taking shape.
To compliment the set, a whole bunch of labels and door buttons have been created with custom text.
Further updates will be posted as and when they happen, along with the final construction images.
