A new movie due out this year stars our very own Anthony Montgomery, Ensign Travis Mayweather from Star Trek: Enterprise
About The Movie:
Seven strangers wake aboard a passenger jet in mid-flight, with no idea how they got there – and no idea where they are headed. Cut off from the cockpit and with a dying smartphone as their sole source of communication, they learn the U.S. is under a devastating attack…and they might be the only survivors.
Chariot is an independently-produced feature film from writer Eric Vale and director Brad Osborne. In the tradition of LIfeboat, Buried and Cube, Chariot is a suspense thriller in the “claustrocore” genre—that is, set entirely in one, claustrophobic location.
The film began as a challenge to screenwriter Vale to set a story aboard a Boeing 727, as the set—a section of a real 727 parked on the backlot of AMS Pictures in Dallas, Texas—became available for use. The problem? 727s have been out of passenger service since 2003. But a real-life incident involving the disappearance of an American Airlines 727 in 2003 (registration number N844AA) provided the story spark that would eventually become Chariot.
“This is an exciting, original story,” says Osborne. “It’s as much a tightly-wound thriller as it is a deeply emotional character study about fear and how we face the unthinkable.”
And from Anthony himself:
