In 2007, Simon Mercs was commissioned to build a 1:350 scale USS Enterprise 1701 with plenty of customisation.
This is a real beauty, with fully controllable lighting sequences, a very cool base with working deflector shield activation, damn the thing even fires phasers with the specially mounted blue laser beam that shoots out from the phaser bank under the saucer.
There is a shuttle in the fully lighted shuttle bay, an arboretum with a shimmering effect pools of water and lit observation lounge.
The whole thing took 8 months and cost a fortune for both maker and client.
Check it out here with WIP images too.
